The Navy Yard Storehouse 8 & 9 is a mixed-use development consisting of to former naval warehouses. The new development of the property will feature 86 luxury rental apartments, 32,000 sf of creative office space, 7,200 sf of first floor restaurant space, and a glass enclosed rooftop restaurant with an outdoor terrace offering views of the water and the surrounding area. Storehouse 8 will have 39,000 square feet of commercial space that will house seven office tenants and two restaurant tenants. The warehouse will feature the third largest rock climbing gym on the East Coast, and will be next door to a new Feed & Seed location, wherein volunteers and workers will provide healthy options for lower-income communities. With the help of federal funding and tax credits, the developer, Clachan Properties, has brought back a piece of capital city history.
