629 E. Main Street

629 East Main Street is a historic twelve‐story, former Virginia Department of Environmental Quality building in the heart of the financial district in Richmond, VA. The rehabilitation of 629 E Main involves converting the former office building into 189 market-rate apartments, and a gym, rooftop lounge, and clubhouse for residents. Leasing for the apartments began in the summer of 2022. The rehabilitation kept intact historic elements of the building and has preserved and restored the exterior limestone, masonry and window stone details.
