The college’s hospitality program has become an integral part of the hotel’s operations, and new jobs have been created at all entry levels, providing family-sustaining wages for local residents. Many employees even walk to work, making the Yorktowne Hotel a vital part of the community. The hotel also serves as a gathering space for the community. The local chapter of the Rotary club has been meeting at the hotel for almost a century, making it a beloved institution in the area.
