Foss & Company Names Stran Summers Vice President of Investments

Summers brings nearly two decades of tax equity and investment leadership to Foss & Company’s growing investment team

Durham, NC – September 9, 2026 – Foss & Company, a leading tax equity syndicator, has announced the hiring of Stran Summers as Vice President of Investments. The hiring further strengthens the firm’s investment team as Foss & Company continues to build on its more than 40-year track record in the tax credit investment marketplace.

Summers will join Foss & Company’s investment team, which focuses on raising equity capital from investors for Foss-sponsored tax credit investments, generating economic and community benefits alongside strong risk-adjusted returns.

Prior to joining Foss & Company, Summers led both the tax and investment functions for insurance and noninsurance companies. He created a tax equity investment program on behalf of his company, deploying nearly $1 billion since 2010, and devised the program’s financial and tax accounting, projection, and board reporting functions. He has spoken on aspects of credit investments to a variety of industry groups. Summers previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army and began his career as a tax manager at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Summers earned a BS in Accountancy from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Drexel University. He is based out of Foss & Company’s Durham, NC office.
