How did you get started in the finance industry?
I was working in public accounting, auditing companies in an array of industries, when I had an itch (as many auditors to) to go work directly in corporate America and specifically in finance. Be open to change – both in the environment and in your own job. The industry is dynamic and when the tides turn (new laws, changes in rates or other commercial elements), financial firms and their employees must shift to address whatever new needs or opportunities arise. That’s the beauty of the industry, so don’t fight it – embrace it as change offers opportunity!
